Papa Anzóis – Artisan Portuguese Fish Conservas

We like Papa Anzóis for its small-batch Algarve craftsmanship and gentle approach to preparing fish. Good olive oils and restrained seasonings keep flavour and texture at the heart of each tin.

About Papa Anzóis

Papa Anzóis makes artisanal fish conservas in Portugal’s Algarve, in small, carefully controlled batches. Instead of pre-cooking the fish, the cannery uses a gentle dehydration process designed to retain its natural flavour and texture.

The range brings together sardines, mackerel, horse mackerel and octopus with excellent olive oils and restrained seasonings. Each tin reflects the fishing culture of the Algarve and the hands-on methods of Conserveira do Arade, the independent producer behind Papa Anzóis.
